Experimental blog has been indexed by Google:

Running test 1 on experimental site to see, if date appears before snippet.

The main purpose of this experiment is to figure out what data (date on page, RSS feeds, publishing date, etc) Google uses as a source for the date before snippet.  Next step will be an attempt to get rid of the date in snippets for new posts, by eliminating or hiding data sources found at the first step. And the final experiment will be an attempt to remove date from the snippets for pages, which has already been indexed.
